How it works

Double the people,
half the time

Each recipe is written with two clear roles. YOU is one person. ME is the other. YOU is typically written as a line cook role, while ME is more of a prep chef.

YOU

One person takes the role of ‘You’ with their own instructions and ingredients.

ME

The other takes the role of ‘me’ with their own instructions and ingredients.

US

Follow your set of directions until the recipe comes together with ‘us’

Meet the author

Dorothy Woods is a chef, writer and nutritionist based in the UK, where she lives in Somerset with her family. Her interest in healthy eating began when she was diagnosed with celiac disease aged 14. This really brought home that the way we eat can be harmful to our bodies. But it also taught her that the opposite’s true too: the way we eat can also heal our bodies in amazing ways – and when you cook together with the people you love, it can create beautiful bonds between partners and families.

Before turning to teaching and writing she was a private chef for ten years, helping families and individuals overcome diet-related illnesses. She travelled the world with many of her clients, learning about different ingredients and cuisines along the way. She has achieved both a Cuisine Diploma and a Diploma in Gastronomy, Nutrition and Food Trends from Le Cordon Bleu and is a certified Institute for Integrative Nutrition coach.
